R_0201 (0603 Metric)

Package: R_0201_0603Metric Library: Resistor_SMD Category: Passive Component Pads: 2 Pitch: N/A Body Size: 0.6 x 0.3mm Mounting: Surface Mount

Description

The 0201 (0603 Metric) is the smallest commonly used passive component size. At just 0.6 x 0.3mm — barely visible to the naked eye — it is standard on smartphone motherboards, smartwatch PCBs, and advanced IoT modules where extreme density is required. Used for decoupling capacitors, pull-up/pull-down resistors, and filter networks in designs with thousands of passives. Requires high-precision pick-and-place equipment and fine-pitch solder paste stencils. Not suitable for hand assembly or prototyping.

Usage Notes

  • Designed for reflow soldering (paste stencil recommended)
  • Pad size optimized for standard components
  • Follow IPC-7351 land pattern guidelines
