LED_0805 (2012 Metric)

Package: LED_0805_2012Metric Library: LED_SMD Category: LED Pads: 2 Pitch: N/A Body Size: 2.0 x 1.25mm Mounting: Surface Mount

Description

The 0805 (2012 Metric) LED is the most commonly used surface-mount LED size for status indicators, panel backlighting, and signal lights. At 2.0 x 1.25mm, it is large enough to be clearly visible while remaining compact on the PCB. Available in every color (red, green, blue, amber, white, UV, IR), it is the standard LED footprint for power indicators, serial activity lights, debugging LEDs, and keyboard backlighting. The polarized pad layout matches standard passive 0805 dimensions with a cathode marking.

Usage Notes

  • Designed for reflow soldering (paste stencil recommended)
  • Pad size optimized for standard components
  • Follow IPC-7351 land pattern guidelines
