Description

The SOD-123 is a compact surface-mount diode package (3.68 x 1.17mm) for low-to-medium power applications. Smaller than the SMA package but larger than SOD-323, it offers a good balance of power handling and board space efficiency. Commonly used for signal diodes, switching diodes (1N4148WS), ESD protection, and small Schottky rectifiers. The clear cathode band marking and polarized pad layout ensure correct assembly orientation.
