Zhuhai Dapeng ITR-9608 is a 4-pin through-hole slotted photo-interrupter pairing an IR928-6c IR LED with a PT928-6c NPN phototransistor on a 5 mm slot. Typical 940 nm emission, 0.4 V max VCE(sat), 15 µs rise/fall. Used for edge/position sensing in mice, scanners, limit switches, and disk drives.

Description
The ITR-9608 is a slotted optical switch (photo-interrupter) consisting of an infrared emitting diode (IR928-6c) and an NPN silicon phototransistor (PT928-6c) housed side-by-side on converging optical axes in a black thermoplastic housing. In normal operation the phototransistor receives radiation from the IR LED through the open slot; when an object is inserted into the slot the beam is broken and the phototransistor stops conducting. The device is intended for non-contact detection in mechanical systems where presence, position, or edge must be sensed optically.
