Description

The SOIC-16 is the surface-mount equivalent of DIP-16, at 3.9 x 9.9mm with 1.27mm pitch. It houses the same functions — shift registers (74HC595), motor drivers (DRV8833), ADCs (MCP3008), and UART chips — while saving 70% board area vs DIP-16. The elongated body makes it one of the longer SOIC variants. The 3D model shows the narrow profile with 8 gull-wing leads per side.

3D Model Details

This 3D model is from the official KiCad Package_SO.3dshapes library. The model is available in STEP format and can be used in any 3D CAD tool.
