Impedance reaches its minimum at the self-resonant frequency (~1.5 MHz). Below SRF the part behaves as a capacitor; above SRF parasitic inductance dominates. Use at ≤ ⅓ SRF (~500 kHz) for predictable capacitive behavior. X5R has higher ESR than C0G/NP0, resulting in a broader, shallower resonance dip.
